I completely understand the feeling of pressure to get things done when you have a block of time without commitments. I don’t know if that ever really happens as a parent, but the removal of working a job is enough to feel free. I think my answer to dealing with the pressure is to not let the pressure take hold in the first place. The pressure is mostly self-induced and therefore I have the key to turn it off. I decided a long time ago that my mental health was equally important as any other aspect of my life and relaxation is integral to that. Of course, now that I’m retired, I have all year to manage compared to your summer. There are still many pulls on my time, but I always allot time for me and never feel guilty about using it anyway I wish.

Hope you have a great summer!
A very healthy mindset! It’s a process 😆
